A: No permission is needed for the use of the AUDIT questionnaire for any non-commercial purpose. This means that someone who is completing the questionnaire should not be charged a fee. The AUDIT questionnaire can also be used and reproduced for administration and publication by any organisation (for example, in research studies and clinical trials), as long as it is not materially changed and that there is a note that it is a WHO-approved instrument.
